Unexplained weight loss (10 lb in six months)
Suspicion of ankylosing spondylitis
Drug or alcohol abuse
History of malignancy
Use of corticosteroids
Fever
Recent visit (within 1 month) for same problem with no improvement
Patient seeking compensation for back pain(work-related injury)
